special event | radical bodhicitta — embodying justice, liberation + healing

Lansing Area Mindfulness Community is excited to host this special event and hope you’ll join us on November 10th!

We’ve invited Tara Scott-Miller to share practices from a program she developed in 2017, which builds upon foundational Buddhist teachings to address our internalized experience of oppression, violence, injustice and discrimination and its impact on how we engage in acts of justice, liberation and healing.

Tara began her spiritual journey with LAMC in 2005 and has continuously supported her “root sangha” as its website/social media administrator, even after forming her own practice community in 2011.

She is the founder + facilitator of 3 Jewels Yoga — a Zen-centered contemplative community of refuge, resistance + resilience. A graduate of New York University, Tara bridges her interests in cognition and behavior to the spiritual foundations of mindfulness in order to curate transformative sacred space that is dedicated to cultivating practices of justice, liberation, and healing.
